how it all happened

_edited_edited.png)

After moving into her new apartment in DC, Mimi took her sister and friends out for a drink at the Armenian cafe down the street. When the handsome, tall Armenian guy served the group a bottle of red wine, Mimi was smitten. After planning for several months to organize a casual meet-cute with him, she finally caught Artur's eye on Halloween 2022, and Mimi's (delusional) efforts made it worth it. After a year and a half of DC dinner dates, happy airport reunions, Lord of the Rings watching, and more bottles of Armenian wine, Artur asked Mimi to be his wife on April 2, 2024 and surprised her by flying both of their families to DC to celebrate. A month later, the two celebrated their little white courthouse wedding in Rhode Island. Artur and Mimi can't wait to celebrate their sacramental marriage in France with all of their loved ones and continue building their lives together in new places <3

travel & accommodation
01.
Getting to the Venue
Bordeaux is the nearest major city, about a thirty minute drive from the venue. You can get to Bordeaux by plane or train. If you arrive to Paris first, the direct high-speed train to Bordeaux costs about 30 euros and takes less than 2.5 hours - giving you an opportunity to see the beautiful French countryside along the way! From Bordeaux, use the ride apps Bolt or Uber, to get a taxi to the venue, or message Artur and Mimi to arrange a pick up!

During Your Stay
The heart of our celebration is this unique and precious moment spent together in a beautiful place with all our loved ones.
We will plan a full week of activities at and near the chateau to celebrate Mimi and Artur's union while bringing the craziest mix of Armenian, Russian, American, and Irish culture and cuisines to all our guests, against the charming backdrop of rural France. We hope our time together can look and feel like one big wonderful family vacation!
